A Seaside Jacket from Peterson's August 1873, Part Two by Marion McNealy   It might do better in the front with a corseted shape under it...? I also wonder how much corseting might affect the armseye - it can affect mine...

A Seaside Jacket from Peterson's August 1873, Part Two by Marion McNealy   And Marion, you've forgotten the embellishment: the embroidery, the cording, all the rest of the stuff that makes this jacket come to life! Don't stop now - it's really a lovely color for you ... But about the bust wrinkles: being of a similarly "too-well-endowed" persuasion, I have been told that just adding fabric in the front center doesn't help: the problem starts back at the armholes. This is apparently solved by slashing-and-spreading somehow - and I hope to get to the point of doing that soon! (Thanks for reminding me that yes, EVERYBODY has one issue or another ...)
